On Bishop Hilarion (Alfeeyev)
as a candidate for OCA Metropolitan
I believe that the Orthodox Church in America should consider the possibility of electing Bishop Hilarion (Alfeeyev) of the Russian Orthodox Church as its new Metropolitan.
Such a possibility, of course, would require Bishop Hilarion’s agreement to be considered as a candidate for election, and the permission of the Holy Synod of the Moscow Patriarchate allowing him to do so.
Asking our Synod of Bishops to contact Bishop Hilarion and the Russian Orthodox Church about the possibility of his being a candidate for election as OCA Metropolitan is not out of order, and it might be what the present moment requires from us.

May the Lord guide our way.
