If our bishops are listening...... please, I beg of you, help us get Herman and company out of office immediately!! Do not let him ignore your requests for a Synod meeting, support Archbishop Job! Parrish by parrish, diocese by diocese, we should start petitions to have him removed immediately.
Many of us had already arrived at the same conclusions, but this devastating critique fleshes-out in great detail the specific lies and dissembling. I challenge the few remaining defenders of MH to refute this analysis or explain how they can continue to support him in his role as Metropolitan.
In particular, I question how the members of the MC/Synod can continue to conduct "business as usual" with this Metropolitan? It is one thing to be a "Fool for Christ" and quite another to be a "Stooge for Herman." If, as some have suggested, the MC is merely a consultative "poodle" for the Metropolitan, then let it at least bite the hand of the one who feeds it poisoned tidbits and then "kicks" it at will. At the very least, one would think that the MC/Synod would be nervous and upset about unfairly being made the "fall guy" for decisions made and implemented by MH.
Finally, some on this site have asked why Metropolitan Theodosius has seemingly had a free ride from scrutiny and criticism compared to Metropolitan Herman. I believe part of the answer has to do with the fact that MT is retired and left the stage before the public crisis broke. He also appears to be a more passive figure, easily manipulated by others, and whose failings have served the purposes of those with other agendas. This does not excuse him, but makes him, at least to me, a somewhat more sympathetic actor in this tragic comedy.
One thing sure, this was written by the attorneys paid for by us suckers. Herman isn't sharp enough to climb out of the trench that he dug during the begining of this mess. I'm glad Herman picked these attorney's because they are a cut above him. I guess they think we are like Herman and they can give us a snow job.
I stated several months ago if you don't like what Herman says, wait a couple of days, it will change. Herman you are running out of stories to tell.
Quit while you still have a couple of friends left, then your other Cronies will follow you. Thanks in advance for taking my suggestions.
We've been following this site since Jan. 2006 and want to thank you again and again for all the work you're doing!
And for having "the stomach" to pick apart (again, since you've done this before), piece by piece, MH's words. It is so very sad that the Primate continues to choose to serve the father of lies.
As for those "friends"/senior priests/whatever, who keep attacking you personally, "Blessed are they that are persecuted for righteousness' sake..." Either they don't see righteousness, or don't wish to see it. How sad either way.
Following the trend of this whole mess, makes one wondering if or better yet, why hasn't anyone really investigated the teachings of the Church. (althought I am sure many have) Reading on this page and others of the same nature, it seems that the actions that Herman has taken gives all parishes in the oca the right to do what they want. Meaning, they have the rights to hold funds, to question anyone involved and to take upon themselves to do what they feel is necessary. People have a moral right to leave if their bishops is lying to them, or have two options #1 stay do nothing or #2 be apart of him, however give no more money and see how long he will exist, then take see where the future hold. I would think that being in the situation that Herman has put himself into, by means of words and actions I wonder why some parishes haven't left the oca? There would be no reason to be afraid of, being that obiviously Herman has been misguiding his flock, all properties, moneys and whatever else the parish has would still belong to the people. No matter what the by-laws say it is obivious that this man has not fulfilled his responsibilities as a hierarch nor the teaching of the church.
Many priest in this area, refuse to tell the people the truth about this situation (either being afraid, or being buddies with Herman), never mind the truth they refuse to even discuss it. When approached by people they will tell them that everything is alright. Knowing many people in this area they are unaware of what is happening do to the point that they do not have computers. So they rely on the trust that they have in the clergy. Unfortunatly, they are being miss guided! I do agree with many of you that Herman should resign, but what I read about him I get the impression that this man feels he is above all, and stepping down would not even be in his thoughts. This is sad, for he can preach one thing and do another. Often, I would speak with these people and they would ask me whats happening on the internet, so I tell them, and they are in total shock. Last year a elderly woman asked me about where Herman was serving for the Feast of the Nativity. I said to her, which one? Naturally, she responded Dec. 25 why? Then I told her that he celebrates both Old and New calander. She said WHAT, no he doesn't. Little did she know that while he is in D.C. he celebrates Old calander. This from a man who literally FORCED these people to the new calander. This has been an issue here for the past 25 years. I know that the calander issue is something totally off the topic, but this is to let you all know what has happened and is happening here. They have no idea what is going on. What a shame! So my suggestion to all of you, is to get you p's and q's together, approach you bishops and senior clergy and tell them what you want. You have that right! It is sad that the oca isn't what it use to be, and a hand full of people made it this way.
O Holy St. Tikhon, pray for the faithful, to guide them in the direction they need to go. For truly, your foundings are in danger!

Having read this, why would one believe anything in the PR report?
"It was designed to build a firewall around the Metropolitan" a direct quote by Fr. Paul Kucynda.
You see, the entire Church has been duped by this not-so-dynamic duo and between attorney fees and accountants paid about $1,000,000 for that firewall. How much longer can we endure? How many more lies will we be told? Only as many as we will allow. Stop giving and start writing to your diocesan bishop to do something NOW. If the Holy Synod does not act NOW, there is no tomorrow.
