God bless the Ukrainian Orthodox Church. Though I am not familiar with their tragic past, it seems they are moving forward to heal all of the brokenness and bring unity once again to their faithful. Let us all pray for their success in doing this in a timely manner. And we can all take heed and follow their examples.
While most Ukrainians aren't interested either way, of those that do care, a majority - according to some accounts - may prefer autocephaly.
And in the UOC MP, there is a strong minority of clerics who think that Autonomy, as understood by Met Volodymyr, is too much. There has been a lot of post-Council pushback from this wing of the church, which has a Russian Ortho-Monarchist fringe associated with it (which is a non-starter as an ideology, even in Russia).
